What makes HYROX Training different from CrossFit training?
Hyrox Training is a narrow version of CrossFit, focusing primarily on endurance and grit, and eliminates CrossFit's signature gymnastics and barbell movements.
The movements involved in Hyrox Training and a Hyrox race are movements you'll see in CrossFit, as well. The Hyrox movements are:
Hyrox Training usually (though not always! continue reading!) culminates in the Hyrox race. Every Hyrox race follows the same format: a 1k run followed by a functional exercise station (see above for the list of Hyrox movements). This is repeated eight times for a total of 8k run and 8 exercise stations completed.
Do you have to train for the Hyrox race to do Hyrox? Of course not! Come train with us for any reason! Hyrox training is great for you if you want to improve your cardio/endurance, enjoy working out with friendly people, or you just want to try something new! There is no expectation that you'll ever sign up for a Hyrox race. We just invite you to come workout with us, just because. :)
